Laura Biagiotti

Laura Biagiotti, is an Italian fashion designer who produces cashmere clothing, shoes, handbags, accessories and perfumes.  She eventually received the nickname “Queen of Cashmere” for her style and comfortable cashmere garments.

Laura Biagiotti was born in 1943 in Rome, later studying literature with hopes of becoming an archeologist.  She got into the fashion world as an assistant at her mother’s tailor shop where she helped design uniforms for Alitalia airlines.  In 1965, Laura and her husband founded their own store, introducing their first collection in 1972.

Since 1982, Laura Biagiotti has designed men and women’s perfumes.  Among the most popular are: Laura Biagiotti Roma, a spicy, oriental fragrance for women, and Laura Biagiotti Due Uomo for men, inspired by modern love between two independent people.

Today, Laura’s daughter, Laura Biagiotti Lavinia, continues to operate her mother’s business while fragrance designers Carlos Vinals, Sophia Grojsman, Ursula Wandel, Michel Almairac and Lucas Sieuzac collaborate to continue producing beautiful fragrances.
